Grand Lake Stream offers some of the best FLY FISHING in the eastern United States. Between ice out (around May 1st) and early June the salmon and lake trout cruise the surface and make great light tackle sport, but throughout the summer deep-water gear is needed to reach these fish. First rate surface action also occurs during the first two weeks in October (catch and release only) in the lake and until October 20th in the stream.
West Grand Lake and Grand Lake Stream is world renown for its LANDLOCKED SALMON fishing. Other species found in the local lakes include: SMALL MOUTH BASS, TOUGE, WHITE PERCH, WHITE FISH, and PICKEREL.
Big Lake is nationally famous and is acknowleged as perhaps the finest smallmouth bass water in the Northeast. There are over two dozen other top notch bass lakes within a short distance by car or watercraft, Pickerel and white perch are plentiful in the area. Lakes and streams provide fast action for even the inexperienced fisherman.
